Chemsex means using drugs during sexual activity. This practice often affects gay or bisexual men. Sometimes it becomes difficult to control.

When chemsex becomes a problem, solutions exist. Support groups are one option. These groups allow people to speak freely about their use. There is no judgment. Everyone is there to help each other.

Peer support is very important. It means people with similar experiences listen to each other. This type of support helps people reflect on their drug use. It also helps people stay sober longer.

But joining a support group can feel frightening. Many people don't dare take that step. They don't know what to expect. They fear being judged or misunderstood.

That's why magazine Tetu decided to share a firsthand account. A journalist attended one of these groups. He describes his experience from the inside. His testimony shows these spaces are welcoming and supportive.

In these groups, people discuss their sexual habits. They also discuss the drugs they use. Participants share their struggles. They also share their successes and progress.

These groups exist thanks to community organizations. Many work specifically for the LGBTQ+ community. They understand the realities of gay life. They know the social and sexual pressures that exist.

April Utile focuses on sexual health awareness. It's an opportunity to discuss often-taboo subjects. Chemsex is one of them. It's important to talk about it openly.

If you or someone you know is affected by chemsex, you're not alone. Professionals and peers are available to help. Taking the first step may seem difficult. But these support groups welcome everyone unconditionally.
