In Heartstopper, an asexual character plays an important role. The series shows romantic feelings without sexual attraction exist. This sounds theoretical, but the show makes it relatable. Heartbreak High presents another perspective on the asexual spectrum. Both series show: asexuality is as valid as any orientation.

What makes these series valuable is their approach. They do not feel like heavy lessons. Characters are not defined by asexuality, but it is part of their story. Young people might see themselves represented for the first time. This can mean much for someone who feels different.

Asexuality remains underrepresented in films and series. Many people do not even know what it is. These Netflix productions help change that. They do it without moral lessons, just good storytelling. That is how representation should work.
