Season two of 'A Good Girl's Guide to Murder' is thrilling and well-made. However, the show gives its queer character even less attention than in season one.

'A Good Girl's Guide to Murder' is back with a second season. The new season is exciting and well-made. Fans of the show will enjoy the new story. But there is a problem. The show does less with its queer character than before.

Season one already had very little queer representation. Many fans hoped season two would do better. Unfortunately, that did not happen. The queer character gets even less screen time this season. This is disappointing for LGBTQ+ viewers.

Queer representation in TV shows matters a lot. LGBTQ+ people want to see themselves on screen. When a show has a queer character, fans expect that character to grow. They want real stories and honest moments. Sidelining a queer character sends the wrong message. It tells LGBTQ+ viewers that their stories are not important.

The show is based on a popular book by Holly Jackson. The book also has a queer character. Many readers loved that part of the story. The TV show had a chance to bring that to life. So far, it has not used that chance well.

The second season does improve in other ways. The mystery is more complex. The main character, Pip, faces bigger challenges. The acting is strong. The pacing keeps viewers engaged. These are all good things.

But good storytelling should include everyone. A queer character should not just exist in the background. They deserve a real story arc. They deserve to be seen and heard. Many shows make this mistake. They add a queer character to seem inclusive. But then they do nothing with that character.

LGBTQ+ audiences notice this. They feel the difference between real representation and token representation. 'A Good Girl's Guide to Murder' season two falls into this trap. It is a missed opportunity for a show that could do so much better.

Fans are speaking out online. They want the show to do more in a possible season three. The hope is that the creators will listen. LGBTQ+ stories deserve to be told fully and honestly.
